Throttle & Thunder: Estenson Racing Makes Noise from Sturgis to VIR

Jackpine Gypsies Short Track I (Sturgis, August 4, 2025)

Dallas Daniels (SuperTwins): In the opening round of the Mission Triple Challenge format, Dallas Daniels engaged in an intense three‑Main‑Event duel with Briar Bauman, ultimately finishing second overall despite strong pushes in individual races. Daniels impressed with his inside-line attacks, nearly securing a holeshot at one point and keeping pace with Bauman during the third Main until the final laps, when Bauman edged ahead to clinch the overall win. Daniels’ consistent speed and grit kept the championship fight tightly contested—just an eight-point gap separated the two after this round.

Tom Drane (AFT Singles): Despite battling illness, Tom Drane delivered high-performance rides. He rebounded in Main Event 2 by powering past the early leader to take the win, showcasing his resilience and quick recovery. Though he was thwarted in Main 1 by a charging Chase Saathoff, Drane’s second event win demonstrated his mental and physical grit—he finished the round with one of the fastest times, keeping alive his championship momentum.

Jackpine Gypsies Short Track II (Sturgis, August 5, 2025)

Dallas Daniels (SuperTwins): This round was a momentous one—though Brandon Robinson claimed his first win of the season in dramatic fashion, Daniels remained a central figure in the championship battle, having been involved in a collision with Bauman. The clash, which resulted when Bauman tried to pass and made contact, knocked Daniels into the dirt and forced him to restart from the back—a pivotal shake‑up in the title fight.

Tom Drane (AFT Singles): Drane showcased impressive consistency, bouncing back under illness to capture the AFT Singles main event with a standout performance. Despite his lowered physical state, he pushed through the adversity to take another win—affirming why he remains a serious title contender with just a handful of rounds remaining.

MotoAmerica Talent Cup Highlights

Sam Drane: Sam has been a standout in the Talent Cup under Estenson Racing’s Yamaha support. At Road America (Round 3, early June), he secured his first MotoAmerica victory in a heart-stopping finish—overcoming a drafting duel to win by just .04 seconds over peers Bodie Paige and Alessandro Di Mario. At Virginia International Raceway, he edged out Ella Dreher by a razor-thin margin of .005 seconds to finish on the podium again—highlighting his consistency and clutch performance in tight finishes. In Barber Motorsports Park, during a wet qualifying session and demanding race conditions, Sam raced smart and took the holeshot to claim a solid second-place finish—demonstrating both speed and adaptability under pressure.
