Springfield, Il. — August 31, 2025 — Estenson Racing capped a landmark weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds with a double dose of headlines. Dallas Daniels finished a razor-close P2 in Mission AFT SuperTwins to seize the Grand National Championship lead by 13 points with one round remaining, while Tom Drane won an AFT Singles classic by 0.028s and also made his premier-class (SuperTwins) debut.
Daniels P2 by 0.026 — and into the points lead
Daniels controlled long stretches of the SuperTwins Main and set the race’s fastest lap (36.179) before being nipped at the line by 0.026s. The runner-up finish, combined with a setback for his title rival, moved the Estenson Racing Yamaha ace to 297 points, +13 over second place with 23 points left on the table.
Drane wins Singles in a pack sprint
Already crowned the 2025 AFT Singles champion on Saturday, Drane backed it up Sunday with another Springfield Mile masterclass, timing the draft to perfection to beat Trevor Brunner by 0.028s in a wild pack finish (11 riders within one second). It’s his seventh win of the season and his fifth Singles victory in the last six Springfield Singles Mains.
“I’ve had a really good run here… I had a great bike underneath me… Big thanks to my whole Estenson Racing Monster Energy team. They’ve put in a lot of work and given me a really fast bike. It’s been amazing. We’ve had a really good year,” said Drane.
SuperTwins debut for Drane shows promise
Drane also lined up for his first SuperTwins Main on the MT-07 DT, running in the lead pack before issues ended his charge; he was classified 15th (14 laps). The pace and race craft were there—valuable laps as he sampled premier-class speed for the first time.
