DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 13, 2019) – There’s a whole lot of new for Estenson Racing’s Ryan Wells in 2019. New bike, new team, and the 2016 Singles Champion is ready to get his AFT Singles title campaign rolling at tomorrow’s American Flat Track season opener at Daytona International Speedway, which is the third running of the DAYTONA TT.
In the off-season, Wells relocated from Michigan to Phoenix to get acquainted with his new team and the Yamaha YZ450F, and he made a full commitment to preparing for the upcoming season. He was able to get a lot of seat time on his new 450 and also spent a lot of time training with his teammates. The New Yorker now looks forward to getting back to racing and making a bid for a second AFT Singles Championship.

Ryan Wells – AFT Singles #94:

“I am super-excited heading into the 2019 AFT season; probably the most excited I’ve been. I know it’s easy to say that every year we go into a new season, but with the opportunity I was given with Estenson Racing and being able to take advantage of it to its fullest all winter by moving out to Arizona and training with all the guys, I’m really excited to go racing.
“It was pretty awesome being able to train with my teammates. Jake [Johnson] stayed home with his family, but to be able to train with JD [Beach], Kolby [Carlile] and Dallas [Daniels] was pretty awesome for me. Moving out to Arizona so that I could ride all winter long and constantly be on the new Yamaha YZ450F was huge for me. Being able to ride three, four days a week—flat track and motocross—has been nothing but awesome to help my progression on the bike. I can’t wait to get this season started. I’ve never felt this good on the TTs before, and with the prep work we’ve been doing all winter, I would love to get on the box or hopefully win my first TT event in American Flat Track.”
