Ryan Wells Ready to Go Mile Racing in Kentucky

Estenson Racing’s Ryan Wells is eager to race the first Mile event of the season, Saturday, June 1, at the Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ever since his championship-winning season in 2016, the New Yorker has felt quite at home on the Miles. Two-thirds of his career wins in the class have come on the bigger tracks — Miles and Half-Miles. So Wells is eager to let his Estenson Racing Yamaha YZ450F stretch its legs this weekend and score another “W” for the team at the Red Mile.

As for Wells’ AFT Singles teammate Dallas Daniels, the wait for his American Flat Track professional debut is nearly at an end. The 2018 AMA Grand National Rider of the Year turns 16 on June 19 and will race at the Lima Half-Mile.

Ryan Wells – AFT Singles #94:

“I’m pretty excited to get to the first Mile of the year. It has been an up-and-down season so far. I think, once we get to these bigger tracks, we can hopefully keep clicking off some better positions consistently and try to keep us up at the front.”

The Red Mile will be streamed live, Saturday, June 1, on FansChoice.TV starting with practice at 1:00 p.m. ET. Race action begins with the Heats at 4:30 pm ET, followed by Opening Ceremonies at 6:00 p.m. ET, and the Main Event at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Catch the Red Mile on NBCSN, June 8 at 1:30 p.m. ET. For tickets and additional information about the event: http://www.americanflattrack.com/events/ .
