Ryan Wells scored his first podium with Estenson Racing Saturday night at Wild Horse Pass Park for the first running of the Super TT, round four of American Flat Track.
Wells went into the team’s home race looking to get back on track after a rough start to the season. The 2016 AFT Singles champ started the day with a decent qualifying effort and went on to build on that with a win in his Heat and a second-place finish in his Semi. Wells didn’t get an ideal start, but he was able to work his way forward from fifth to third before the halfway mark. Wells tried to catch the leaders, but the gap was too much to overcome and third-place was the best result he could muster for the day.
The Estenson Racing squad heads west to Southern California for the So-Cal Half-Mile in Perris, California, Saturday, May 11.

“It was a great night in Arizona. The season has started well below my expectations, so although I felt I had the speed to win, it felt great to land on the podium. The whole team and especially my mechanic Nick Daniels have worked their tails off. These are the results we deserve and are capable of. I’m happy we are back on track and looking to build on it.”
