Kolby Carlile to Focus on Full Fitness After Super TT Crash

After consulting with the team and his doctor, Kolby Carlile will focus on returning to full fitness after injuring his leg at the previous American Flat Track round in Chandler, Arizona, the Super TT. The team has no plans to bring in a fill-in rider for the No. 136 Estenson Racing Yamaha MT-07 DT.

Racing resumes this weekend at the So-Cal Half-Mile in Perris, California, where the team’s campaign in the AFT Twins class will continue to be spearheaded by Carlile’s teammates Jake Johnson and JD Beach. An update on Carlile’s return will be made when available.

Tommy Hayden – Estenson Racing Director of Operations:

“It’s really unfortunate that Kolby will not be able to participate this weekend in Perris but I’m confident he is doing all the right things to make sure he will be back to 100% as soon as possible. I’m sure that missing this race will only make him more motivated and hungry when he gets back on the bike.”

Kolby Carlile – AFT Twins #136:

“I’m extremely disappointed that I have to take some time off from racing to let my leg heal, but it’s more important to me to have a leg that is 100% for the rest of my career since I am only 21. I will be back as soon as I can. I am doing everything I can to help in the healing process, and I can’t wait to return to racing.”
