As the American Flat Track season nears the end with three rounds remaining, Estenson Racing’s Jake Johnson and Kolby Carlile aim to score top results on their Twins this Saturday, September 7, at the Williams Grove Half-Mile in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Leading the charge in the AFT Twins class, Johnson looks forward to returning to Williams Grove Speedway. The two-time Grand National Champion, who calls the Keystone State his home, has had solid results on the fast, clay Half-Mile track, finishing just off the podium twice. He would like nothing more than to return to the podium for a fourth time this season in front of the home crowd.
His teammate Carlile has also had success at Williams Grove, scoring a second-place finish in 2017 en route to his AFT Singles title. This year the New Yorker has his sights set on the AFT Production Twins crown. With three rounds remaining, Carlile sits 23 points behind the leader. Fresh off of a successful weekend in Springfield, including his first career win in the class, the “Flying Tomato” looks to keep that momentum rolling into the final races of the season.

Jake Johnson – AFT Twins #5:

“I’m looking forward to Williams Grove. It’s a hometown race for me. I’ve gone fairly well there. I finished just off the podium the past two years there, so it’s been a pretty good track for me. Like I said, it’s close to home, and I have a lot of friends and family there, so that will be neat. Hopefully we can get something together and come out of there with another strong finish.”
Kolby Carlile – AFT Production Twins #136:

“The goal is to keep the momentum rolling into the weekend. There are three rounds left for this season, and coming off a second and first this past weekend was exciting. Our bike is getting pretty good, and I usually enjoy Williams Grove, so we will see what happens. I’m going to push hard to keep getting more podiums and wins this year and we will see where we end up in three rounds.”
