JD Beach Looks to Finish MotoAmerica Superbike Season on a High Note

JD Beach heads into the MotoAmerica Superbike season finale looking for another top result aboard the Attack Performance Estenson Racing Yamaha YZF-R1, this weekend, September 20-22, at Barber Motorsports Park.

It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a season for Beach. The two-time MotoAmerica Supersport Champion got off to a good start with a podium finish at the first race of the year at Road Atlanta. He then went on to score his first career Superbike win a few rounds later at VIRginia International Raceway, making history in the process by scoring a win on back-to-back weekends in the premier class of American Flat Track and MotoAmerica. From there, it was a bit of struggle, but he and the team worked together to find a set-up solution. That paid off at the previous round at New Jersey Motorsports Park where he returned to top form and scored a pair of podiums (3-2), even leading race two for eight laps.

With two races remaining in the season, Beach looks to build on his momentum at Barber Motorsports Park and add another win to his resume.

JD Beach – MotoAmerica Superbike #95:

“The last round is this weekend, and it’s been a crazy year. It’s been fun. It’s been hard. We have definitely made some progress with the bike. I think it was a little too late, though, which kind of sucks. We had a really good round in New Jersey, and I feel like, if we had figured that out earlier this year, we could have been fighting for more podiums. But, that’s racing. It’s never easy.

“I’m really looking forward to the finale. It’s a track that I’ve raced at a lot. I guess you could say it’s kind of like a home race because it’s so close. It’s kind of an unknown going into this weekend because the track has been repaved, so everybody doesn’t know what it will be like. It’s going to be fun, though, because I get to race a Superbike there. I just hope we can go out and have a good run like we did in New Jersey. It’s my last race with the Attack team on the Superbike so I want to have a good weekend and maybe get another win.”
