JD Beach Looking to Return to the Top in Utah

As the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship approaches the halfway mark, JD Beach looks to score another win this weekend, June 15-16, at Utah Motorsports Campus.

For most of the riders and teams, going into the weekend is a bit of an unknown running the East Course instead of the bigger track layout. Throwing another challenge into the mix, it’s a two-day format like it was at VIRginia International Raceway, so everyone will need to be ready to hit the ground running.

Beach, who scored his first career Superbike victory at VIR, looks forward to the challenge. He has had some time on the Utah track at a school a few years ago, so he has an idea of what the track is like. His Attack Performance Estenson Racing team has also been hard at work preparing his Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike for battle, so Beach is eager to get rolling in Utah where he’s had success in the past.

JD Beach – MotoAmerica Superbike #95:

“I’m really looking forward to going to Utah and racing on the new track. I rode it, I think, two or three years ago with the RiCKdiculous guys at a school, so I kind of have an idea of how the track goes. I’m also excited because, I think, other than the Yosh [Yoshimura] guys, nobody has ridden there. Nobody has data from there. I kind of feel we’re all going to be on the same playing field. I know Richard [Stanboli] has already been looking at the track and seeing how long all the straights and stuff are. By the looks of it, it’s not a real fast track. There are a lot of turns. We’ve spent a lot of time out at Chuckwalla, so I think it’s going to be a lot like that. I’m really looking forward to that, and I hope that will help some.”

The MotoAmerica Superbike races at Utah Motorsports Campus will be aired on FS2 Saturday, June 15 at 6:00 p.m. ET and Sunday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
