On May 3, 2025, at the Silver Dollar Short Track in Chico, California, Dallas Daniels secured a third-place finish in the Mission AFT SuperTwins class. Riding the Yamaha MT-07, Daniels completed the race just 2.030 seconds behind the winner, Briar Bauman, and a mere 0.061 seconds behind second-place finisher Davis Fisher. Daniels recorded a best lap time of 17.428 seconds during the race, showcasing his consistent performance throughout the event.
Looking ahead, Daniels is set to compete in the next round of the Progressive American Flat Track series at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on June 7, 2025. This event will be followed by a doubleheader at the Lima Half-Mile in Lima, Ohio, on June 27 and 28.
Tom Drane: Strong Performance in AFT Singles
In the AFT Singles division, Tom Drane delivered a commendable performance at the Silver Dollar Short Track on May 3. Riding the Yamaha YZ450F, Drane finished fifth in the main event, just 0.298 seconds behind the winner, Kody Kopp. Drane’s best lap time was 17.496 seconds, reflecting his competitive pace throughout the race. Drane will also be participating in the upcoming races at Lucas Oil Speedway on June 7 and the Lima Half-Mile doubleheader on June 27 and 28, aiming to improve his standings in the championship.
Sam Drane: Rising in the MotoAmerica Talent Cup
Although there were no MotoAmerica Talent Cup races in May, Sam Drane’s performances in the earlier rounds have positioned him as a rising star in the series. After securing podium finishes in the opening rounds, Drane accumulated 65 points, placing him second in the championship standings behind Alessandro Di Mario, who leads with 86 points.
The next round of the MotoAmerica Talent Cup is scheduled to take place at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, from May 30 to June 1, 2025. Drane will be looking to close the gap in the standings during this event.
